Account Recovery
-
Dear all,
I’m trying to recover a WordPress account (which was upgraded for a few year, but not any longer).
– The email account on which the WP account was created no longer exists and cannot be recovered.
– On my credit card bill there is no transaction ID (only the bank account number of WP)
– I don’t have an activation URL or key. I also don’t have the two factor authentication codes. Is there any way in which I can retrieve my account?
Thank you so much for your help, it is really, really appreciated.
David

Hi dthadejong,
You can try and check each and every possible email address you have registered under wordpress.COM account using the account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the wordpress.COM Account Recovery Staff, and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access.
NOTE: WordPress.COM Support Staff cannot breach the privacy policy and provide the log-in information. You have to provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff to gain access https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/ And, Staff cannot delete the post for you.
Don’t hesitate to ask here in the forums if you need further help.

If you paid for an upgrade here on WordPressdotcom, you can contact Paypal to get that transaction ID.
When you have it, do not post it here in the forums, but only on the account recovery form.
