Account Recovery
-
PLEASE HELP!
I want to reuse my personal blog which includes my portfolio (http://ianhpowell.wordpress.com) but I can’t recover my account through the normal process because I don’t have the passwords… never had transaction ID’s or keys nor do I have any activation emails any more. The site is still active but when I try to log in, I’m told the account has been deleted… which it clearly hasn’t.
Is there anything you can do? I have lots of emails from the old account (like moderation emails) and there are pictures of me on the website and I obviously have photo ID etc.
PLEASE!
Any ideas?

Hi newparadigm23,
The site is still active but when I try to log in, I’m told the account has been deleted…
ianhpowell.wordpress.com is owned by mrpower23. Both the site and account are still active, is this the username you are using to try and login?
You’ll need one of two things to recover a site on WordPress.com: access to the account email address or proof of ownership (this is the only information we can accept). Without either, we won’t be able to help with account recovery for security reasons.
If you haven’t done so already, please try resetting your password with the username mrpower23 — this will send an email to the account email address. I can’t share that information with you so please check all of your email accounts including the spam folders.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
