Account Recovery (activation link not valid)
-
I recently tried to log into my WordPress account but when logging in received the error message “This account has been closed. If you believe your account was closed in error, please contact us.” The website itself is still up and working fine.
I filled out the account recovery form and input the original activation URL as proof of ownership, but this produced the error of the URL not being valid.
Any thoughts on how I can recover my account if it won’t accept my proof of ownership?

I do not see any sites under your @throwaway226 WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.
Is it possible you created your site under a different login with us or are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

No this is an account I made just to post this message. I cannot log into the account I am trying to access as I receive the error message stating the account has been closed.
And no, I am certain of the account details. I still have the original emails from WordPress when I was activating it.
Is there any way of discussing this not on a public forum? The website is personally identifying so I’d rather not post on a public forum.
