Account Recovery form shows Error after submission. I have tried again and again. I am desperately trying to get in contact with a WordPress Employee. It should not be this difficult. Please, I am begging you, help me.

I have the same problem. I get an error message when I try to submit the account recovery form and the reset password form doesn’t recognize my user name. I desperately need help figuring out how to log in to my site. The URL still works so I know it still exists.

The URL is http://www.expertwords.net. The strange thing is I’m able to log in with the tgkaty user name but it shows a very old version of the site. I changed that user name years ago and it should be expertwords, which is the one that isn’t recognized. So I believe the current version of the site is under the expertwords user name.

Are you logging in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog? Unless your are you will not be able to access the blog.
http://expertwords.net/wp-admin/
http://expertwords.wordpress.com/wp-admin/Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If required click the “Need More Help” link and complete the form for account recovery. -
I don’t think I’m explaining this very well. The username that was used to register the account is tgkaty. But shortly after it was registered I changed the username to expertwords. For several years that’s the name I’ve used to log in to make changes.
Now the username expertwords is not recognized to reset the password. I am able to log in using the original username tgkaty, but what I see under that name is not the current version of the site. It’s not even close. I know without a doubt the correct username should be expertwords to view the current version of the site.
I’ve tried all the links you provided but it only recognizes tgkaty, and that doesn’t give me the current version of the site.

But shortly after it was registered I changed the username to expertwords.

@tgkaty – I’m sorry to hear that you had trouble with the account recovery form. I just replied to you via email (at the email address linked to your tgkaty account) so we can discuss the private information necessary for account recovery. Please let me know if you don’t get that email from me.

@tgkaty – the two blogs you are asking about are different base WordPress.COM blogs
http://tgkaty.wordpress.com/ – is set to private
expertwords.net. is mapped to expertwords.wordpress.com
You might have two different accounts / user names
