Account recovery – no access to email (provider no longer exists)
-
Hello,
I’m trying to regain access to my WordPress.com account sandrofelber (sandrofelber.wordpress.com). Unfortunately, I’ve lost my password and no longer have access to the email address associated with the account. The email provider I used when I created the account no longer exists, so there is no way for me to recover that email address.
The account was created approximately 15–20 years ago. It has always been on the free plan, so I have no transaction IDs or payment history. I also don’t have an activation URL or two-factor authentication codes, which means I cannot use the standard Account Recovery form.
Here is what I can confirm about the account:
- Username: sandrofelber
- My real name: Sandro Felber
- Account age: approximately 15–20 years
- Plan: Free (no payments ever made)
- Current site status: set to private
I am the original and sole owner of this account. I would be happy to verify my identity in any other way possible (e.g. government-issued ID matching the account name).
Is there any alternative way a Happiness Engineer could help me regain access to my account? I understand the security concerns, but since the email provider no longer exists, the standard recovery options are not available to me.
Thank you very much for your help.
