http://www.alanyacocukdoktoru.com is my domainname, I am doctor and my blog is about kids health. I’m not good at computers etc so I asked my provider to make a website for me, I have email that says alanyacocukdoktoru.wordpress.com is registered for me. I just keep writing blogs and dont know what changed. But many months ago my computer changed, and now I’m stuck.

My nephew says my username is “drergunparlan”, and it appears that mywebsite directs to drergunparlan.wordpress.com address. That accounts recovery mail is not coming to my address, I keep both (email visible only to moderators and staff) and (email visible only to moderators and staff) but nothing arriving. The email I recieve when alanyacocukdoktoru site first opened still with me, but wordpress says alanyacocukdoktoru account deleted or renamed. That is why when I fill whole support form, form give error to me as “The activation key does not appear to be valid.” and thus why I’m not even able to contact anyone about issue.

I have no information about how alanyacocukdoktoru changed to drergunparlan. What I know is website is mine with my name and my photo and my blog. And in May i changed my location and my computer and since than I’m not able to access my blog. Please help me with this, last week I wrote wordpress.com.tr support, but no respond arrived. Regards.

    Hello Ergun,

Your domain, alanyacocukdoktoru.com, is neither registered nor mapped to us. That domain is registered with reg2c.com, and it appears you are redirecting to to your WordPress.com site in some way, but we have no control over that domain.

The WordPress.com site appearing at that domain is drergunparlan.wordpress.com and belongs to the username, drergunparlan. We’ve sent several password reset links to the email address connected to that account, and our logs show the emails were delivered successfully. If you don’t see those emails in your inbox, they might be in spam, or otherwise your email provider might be filtering them on their end. If it’s the latter, you’ll need to contact your email provider, as we have no control over that.

The only other option if you are not receiving the emails is to verify your ownership some other way via our account recovery form:

It appears that drergunparlan is not username that I personally register with my email address, and as far as I understand there is no way to verify mail address of that account.

For account recovery, I already tried that option, which requires Transaction ID (dont have), Activation URL (got for alanyacocukdoktoru username but system says invalid), or two step auth. which is not set.

So in simplest way, you aware that account is not used by anyone, there is no login etc in site. You can search my name via google and will see that I am that person, but no one can recover website that full of my name – mail – picture… Thus should be what peoples got scared in age of tech. Lots of knowledge, no wisdom… Thanks anyway. I should open new account, copy-paste all texts from previous, and let old one hang around for eternity… And ask everyone around to follow new one…

It’s exactly because details like your name, email, picture, etc. are so easily found via a Google search that we cannot accept that information as proof of account ownership – it is much to easy to fake or reverse-engineer data like that to make it look like someone is the owner of a site. For that reason we can only accept unique information that we control for account recovery.

I’ve emailed the address on file for that account. Please reply there if you receive my email.
