  Hi WordPress support team,

  I would like to delete my WordPress account. I already visited ‘How do I delete my account’ help page but I don’t like to use the recommended method. I don’t want to leave my account with my e-mail address ans I really want to delete it. Thanks for your help,

  Hi Deniz,

  Unfortunately WordPress.com accounts cannot be deleted, but you do have a few options.

  You can make your account inactive by following these steps:

  1. Empty and delete your site

  2. Remove all of your personal information in your account settings

  3. Change your password to a random string of characters

  Once you follow the steps above your account will be inactive and you will not be able to access it.

  If you do not want your current email stored in your inactive account you can change your email in account settings.
