  I would like to renew my domain, and I would like to keep ads off the site, does the $26 cover that when I renew?

  The $26 covers domain registration, mapping to your WordPress.com site, and domain privacy to hide your registration information from the public.

  No Ads is a separate upgrade and is $30/yr. There is more information on the No Ads upgrade here:
