Account Renewal

Hi there. We keep receiving messages saying that our account will expire on November 25th, and we will need to pay AUD$24 for this. We have decided against renewing our account and were wondering what the best course of action would be. For instance, if we were to leave the blog alone to just expire, would we still be billed for the renewal? We have tried to delete it, but a message keeps popping up saying that we cannot because of our domain. Would really appreciate help with this issue.

You can disable autorenew.
Do you want to use the domain URL on another site?Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. Auto-renew is disabled. And no, we do not wish to use the URL on another site, we just wish to delete the account. If we were to leave it to expire, would that be alright? Or would we still be prompted to pay for a renewal?

Your subscription won’t auto-renew, and you won’t be billed any further. I recommend you make your site private: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
That way, no one but you (and any WordPress.com users you add) will be able to see the site.
