  Hi, I would like to update my email address and user name but I always get an error message. It says that my new email is not allowed. When I type my new username I just can’t push the button to save changes. Even though my new username fulfil requirement.

  Hi elenyyy,

  What is the username and email address you are trying to use? You can type the email address here and it will be redacted from public view but staff will be able to see it.

  If the username is already in use, it will be unavailable for use on another account. And if the email address is already in use, it will need to be removed from the current account first.

  Once I know more, I’ll be able to take a closer look at this for you.

  The username janElin is already taken. Can you try just updating the email address, then update the username separately?

  yes I have tried but I always get a message: “The e-mail address entered is not allowed.”
