Account Settings

I changed the name of my blog from When I made the name change I was asked if I would like to add a matching user name to which I said yes. On my current account details, it shows my old user name and email address and I would like to change these. When I use the add new user option, it seems I am essentially sending the message to myself and I cant therefore accept it. I am also told that the username and email address already exist (which they do, by me). I don’t know how to get around this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Every WordPress account has unique email address. So when you click yes for having a matching username, you are asking WordPress to create another account for you which requires unique email address.
Once account is created with new username, both your accounts will be added as Admins to your blog.

If having matching username matters to you then you can change email address of your current account and then create an account with matching username and current email address.

Refer this link to change your email address
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/

Else you can select No and have this account added as Admin to your blog.

    Hope this helps.
