account suspended

I’ve recently changed my password and from that day onwards, i’m inable to login. When i clicked on the url of my blog (http://www.onlinedownloads.wordpress.com), it gave the message that my account has been suspended. Please do help me in this regard. I’m trying to build the blog and this suspension made me helpless.

We in the help forum can’t help you with this. You need to get in touch with WordPress directly, via their contact information on the WordPress.com page.
I suggest that if the American legal status of any of your downloads was not 100% A-OK, that could be the cause of the suspension, as warez are against the terms of service to which you agreed when you joined WordPress.
Regardless of the immediate cause, some blogs have been un-suspended once their owners agreed to fix whatever the apparent transgression was, so all hope is not lost provided you’re willing to do that work.

This blog has been archived or suspended for a violation of our Terms of Service.

Friendly reminder that I’m not staff….
A quick check of the Google cache shows advertising, copy and paste articles, affliate links, SEO, and lots of link spam.
That would be my guess.

Looked like a reasonably new blog too….shame he didn’t put months of work into it before it was lost. It’s also a shame some of the content can be saved. No doubt it will appear on another WordPress.com blog soon enough……only to be suspended again for the same reason.
Personally I want to start including deep linked affiliate codes as a part of my blog, but I respect the WordPress.com rules….so it won’t happen until I move it elsewhere.
The funniest thing here in my opinion…..is that whoever signed the name up obviously didn’t think the name “onlinedownloads” wouldn’t attract a second glance by the administrators…..surely if you’re doing something that will be stopped when spotted, you want to draw the least attention to it.
Even with that, I still find it incredible that people actually click on anything with certain words in the URL. It’s the same with the casino, rolex or viagra names.

Of course the name was a dead giveaway. In fact most of the ones I’ve caught in the last year were due to their choice of username, blog name, categories and/or catch phrases. As my granny would have said … “dumb as a bag of hammers, they are.”

Wow. What a moron. If Google ever wants to REALLY do something great for the net, they’d kill off their sidebar advertising. It’s pretty much the main thing driving these morons. Do ads really work anyway? I surf with Firefox and Adblock, and miss the vast majority of them. I easily ignore the rest.

And I would really wish Firefox would fix their adblocker. Have two threads here this morning where it’s causing issues with the wordpress backend. :)

Only staff can tell you for sure why your blog was suspended. Contact them through the feedback form on your dashboard. But yes, more than one affiliate link, advertising, or sale offers on a blog are all serious terms of service violations; always read the Terms of Service before you agree to them in future. Saves a lot of hassle; it’s right there in black and white.
For reference, WordPress bloggers agree (in the Terms of Service) to subject their blogs to US law, so if the downloads you offered were not legal in the US, that might also have been an issue. You’ll have to ask staff.

Send an email to support at this domain with the details. I’m not holding my breath on it though.
