Account Suspended

    Hi,

    Till Yesterday my account was working fine but today when i tried to log in , it throws message “Account Suspended” I don’t know what went wrong and why this problem to spoil my new year fun.

    My blog is still active ( which is my user name) : http://masalaboard.wordpress.com/

    I have stop using wordpress.com since long and have this account continue as i have moved to self hosted wordpress.org, please restore my account.

    This is something that will have to be discussed with staff. In the blog dashboard, there should be a warning with a link that you can click to contact the TOS people at wordpress.com. Use that link to contact them. Since support is closed till the 3rd, you might not hear back from them till then.

    I’ll also tag this thread for staff attention since they are checking the forums, but they will not discuss these things in the forums.

    You need to talk with the staff about the suspension – they are never discussed in the Forum nor can any of us unpaid volunteers restore your account – you should have been sent an email with a link in it –

    Actually I got my account back,

    @thesacredpath, I don’t see any warning in my dashboard, any particular place where it is, if any.

    I can delete the blog which was not updated since last years and won’t update in future as well, i just keep this for API Key and WP Stats, I have moved to self hosted wp.org since last years, so i was bit confused what was causing it.

    As @thesacredpath mentions there should be a link in the warning message you see that will allow you to contact us. Please use that and we can discuss things. Thank you.

    what is the support email? this happened to me too ,but my blogs were getting 15,000 hits a day and i would at least want an export file.

    I am changing status of all post to draft as i don’t want to land in any argue with WP Team. I had discontinued this blog 2 years or more back so no use of it anyway, so its better to convert all the post to draft, that was i will be preserving the post also and nothing there which could relate to tos violation.

    Use the link in your dashboard to contact support. Don’t email them. The link in your dashboard will route the email directly to the TOS department which is where it needs to go.

    I don’t see why you want to keep the account active, but if you want to be in good standing, yes, you need to resolve this.

    Instead of setting them all to Draft one by one, just make the blog Private under your Settings.

    @Raincoaster,

    keeping this account is only for purpose of API Key and Stats, I just converted all the post to draft already as i doubt post which is already there in google will have access to post even if it made private (I may be wrong here).

    I can contact support team but my question is only that , i got my account back , think it may be technical glitch which happens in WP for some unknown reason, if my account was really suspended, i may not get back until someone restore my account access from wp team. So i am confused on what base i should contact them..

    The warning on the dashboard contains a link to contact them. It may be disabled until they are back from vacation on the 3rd, so contact them after that.

    IF your blog is suspended, there is a warning note on the dashboard which you will see when you go there. If there is no warning note on your dashboard, your blog isn’t suspended, so don’t worry about it. If you need to contact staff for any reason, when they are not on vacation you can do so from your dashboard via the Help button which is visible there then.
