  I am trying to figure out how to get this site back up. It is mine but another person created it for me. I usually go through my website/admin to login it but I cant even do that with it being down. The host is godaddy but they are saying it may be a wordpress issue. I have no idea what to do to get this back up.

  Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com but instead a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with GoDaddy.

  We cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. But, I can get you pointed in the right direction.

  If GoDaddy is unwilling to help you get your site back online and if you still have trouble, please reach out to the WordPress community for guidance if there’s a specific WordPress error that’s causing the problem:

  GoDaddy is not being very helpful since the domain is still with the other person. He tried to transfer it to me a month ago, and I thought I accepted it but apparently not. They said there is something open to try to investigate to get it switched to me but they won’t give a time frame. Unfortunately, I can’t login into my site through wordpress like I usually do so I’m guessing that only GoDaddy can assist at this point.

  Hi there!

  Sorry to hear that! You can post on the WordPress.org support forum for general suggestions with the next steps: https://wordpress.org/support/forums – But as GoDaddy is your host, only they have access to the site to help you out. Your site uses the WordPress.org software and if it’s hosted by GoDaddy, it’s on their servers and so they have access to the files.

  I’d suggest waiting for them to complete their investigation or reaching out to them again for a timeframe.
