‘Account suspended’… but not via EasyWP

So, this is really strange. I have purchased this domain + created the site for it via NameCheap + EasyWP. I log in okay via the latter… however, whenever I try and login directly through WordPress using the username in my profile there, I get a ‘your account had been suspended’ message. Whom do I contact with the details?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Er, is it normal that the ‘blog I need help with’ link just points to gmail for some reason instead of the link I provided?

This is the host WordPress.com. You are logged into an account by the name of arydaeva that you created here 13 years ago. No doubt you have another account with a similar name at some totally different company and you need to be over there not here.

I mean, I’ve just said that my website was created via NameCheap >> EasyWP. So, I suppose technically a ‘different company’ for the hosting – but it’s still WordPress as a platform for the website proper, no?

(this one’s a different account, more recent one).

    Hi @arydaeva

If your site uses WordPress, what’s different is where your site is hosted and who manages it.

Your site with Namecheap EasyWP uses the WordPress.org software. This means:

    • You’re using the same WordPress platform, but it’s self-hosted.
    • Your site’s files, data, and support are handled entirely by Namecheap.
    • You log in, manage updates, and handle plugins or themes directly through your hosting provider.

On the other hand, WordPress.com is a fully managed hosting service built by Automattic, the company behind WordPress itself. We take care of everything—hosting, maintenance, updates, and security—so you can focus on your content.

You may also refer to our full guide here:
    https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

So, while both versions share the same WordPress platform at their core, they’re hosted and managed very differently.

Could you share which domain you’re referring to? Please feel free to use our Site Profiler to check your hosting and domain information here: https://wordpress.com/site-profiler/
