Accuracy of stats

    I was just wondering how accurate the stats counter is for the blogs? Mine doesn’t receive much traffic in general as I haven’t told any friends about it or anything, it just gets the odd view via links from my profile on various sites. Today it seems to have a record number of visits but I can’t see anything on the referring sites, searches, etc. that would make sense of the number. Any suggestions as to what might have caused the spike?
