On August 6, 2023, I received an email alerting me that “Action Required: you exceeded 10,000 subscribers for voiceofnigeria.org.ng”. I promptly responded to this email same day.
My website has been operational for 6 years. I utilize Jetpack to gather subscribers and send out newsletters. Interestingly, I had already achieved the 10,000 subscriber milestone between 2019 and 2020. As of now, my subscriber count stands at 246,000. I’m perplexed as to why I received the above-mentioned notice. Furthermore, my services seem to have been halted without prior warning. New user registrations have been disabled, and my existing subscribers aren’t receiving updates about new posts.
Whenever someone attempts to sign up for the newsletter, they’re met with an error message stating: “Oops! There was an error when subscribing. Please try again”.
I’ve made numerous attempts to reach out for assistance through various channels, but my issue remains unresolved. In just the past five days, over 15,000 users have attempted to register but were unsuccessful.
I urgently request assistance from any experienced staff members.
