  Is it possible to activate an old website when the domain name has expired?

  WP.com: Yes
  Jetpack: No
  Correct account: Yes

  Hi, that really depends on where your old website was hosted. Was it hosted here on WordPress.com or with a different hosting company?

  If it was hosted here on WordPress.com, when a custom domain expires, the website is still available at its underlying mysite.wordpress.com address.

  Since the account you are posting from is just a few hours old, if you deleted the old site and/or the account associated with the website, they can be recovered only within 30 days of deletion. After that the information is purged and can’t be recovered.
