Activating Any Plug-in Crashes Site

I have recently built my website (WordPress 6.0.3 running Twenty Twenty-One theme). I am trying to get my shop up and running using plug-ins such as WooCommerce and SnapScan. Any time I activate a plug-in, it gives me the critical error message and I lose access to my site completely. To fix, I must go in from the back and delete the file associated with the plug-in. So, as of now, my website has no plug-ins and is pretty simple. Any ideas on how to fix this problem so I can use plug-ins?
