Activating Code Syntax Highlighting

  If I create a post in my blog including source code, how do I get correct formatting/highlighting enabled. Most if not all of the search results I’m finding talk about me downloading plugins to a local file-system site, but I am merely using wordpress as a blog service? In a word, I’m a little confused.

  Unfortunately I don’t believe this is possible at wordpress.com. As you’ve discovered, there are plugins that will do it for you but you’d need to be self-hosted rather than hosted here.
