Activating Forever Theme

  I love the layout of the Forever theme and want to activate it for my blog, http://www.cookinginredsocks.com . I tried activating it on an outdated blog to test the features, and can’t get it to look the way it does in the theme showcase. I want the following on the first page:

  image slider for chosen pictures.
  below that: four small images with recent posts.
  below that: a sticky post with no image.

  I have tried to mess around in the settings of the old blog and can’t figure out how to set it up all continuously like that or even activate the image slider.

  In order for them to appear, the images will need to be Featured images of a specific size, and the posts will need to be made Sticky.
