Activating my account

Hi, I made a wordpress account yesterday but typed my email address as (email visible only to moderators and staff) instead of (email visible only to moderators and staff)! I now can’t activate my account as I don’t have the email and I can’t change the email address associated with my account without a confirmation email being sent to the (email visible only to moderators and staff) account! What should I do?

Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account. You can create one gravatar for every username account that applies to all blogs registered under the same username account and email address.

Hi @shanzilavington, actually the confirmation will go to the *new* email address, not the old one. We do send the old address notification of the change, but that’ll be okay.
Can you go ahead and try?

Oh, I should say the exception is if you’ve already made an account with that other email address… and it looks like that may be the case here.
The best option then is to go ahead and move the site and what not from this account to the new one, which we can do at your request.
