Doubt anyone will actually read this post.
This is notification I am receiving:
In order to publish posts, please verify your email address by clicking the link in the confirmation email that we sent to [xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]
Feedback for WordPress: closing account because you make it too damn difficult to get support! I received email after opening account, clicked on link and then received prompt for activation code. It is not in SPAM. It is not anywhere. I’m going round and round trying to find information on your site to no avail. No one to chat with, no one to call, no one to email as far as I can see. I just wasted an hour of my life. I’ll find a website developer site that offers better support and transparency regarding setting up a basic account. I would have paid for premium. Not now. Not never. Bye bye!

Hi there!
Our logs indicate that our system sent the activation email to your email twice. If you didn’t see it in your spam/junk folder either, it’s likely because your email service provider was rejecting it.
In any case, since you already closed your WordPress.com account, we are unable to help with this any further. But I wanted to clarify that you get access to customer support via this forum as a free user. Faster support (via email and live chat) is available with a WordPress.com plan.
Should you want to restore your WordPress.com account, you can reply to the account closure email (which, I confirmed, was sent successfully from our end) within 30 days, and we can restore your account and help you build your site on WordPress.com.
Regards

Three! times resend verification and still no verification code. “Your blog is coming soon?” WTF?
-
Hi @antimagazin1 it looks like our email log is showing that the activation code was indeed sent to you three times. The second activation email was sent around 15 minutes after the first, and the third activation email was sent around eight minutes after the second.
If you’re not receiving the emails either in your spam folder or inbox, it might be worth checking with your email provider in case their spam filter is stopping the emails before it even reaches you.

I know, that i sent wordpress three emails, because i got three verifications from you in my mailinbox and in my wordspressaccount! But every authentification asks for a code i didn’t get! So there’s no spamfolder i have to check and my provider doesn’t block anything! Why the heck do you make it so unnecessary difficult to create a new account? If you don’t want any new creators on your websites, than write this on your front and you will never be disturbed by selfproduced problems.

Hi,
New users are always welcome to WordPress.com. That is why there is a free plan ;). Unfortunately, activation is necessary for security issues (your account’s security), indeed.
I think it might be helpful to share a screenshot of the mail you got for activation with the WordPress staff. Thus, they can see if there is a problem with the activation mail sent.
Please do not hesitate to write here if you have any more questions or problems.
