activation email link: done, but no status change for my account

    hello, i have problems with the confirmation link for my wordpress account. it simply doesnt work. i have asked for about 15 new activation emails, clicked on the link, even got my aksimet api but the status doesnt change at all and i cant do anything about it. it tells me to activate my account or to change the email adress again and again.

    what am i doing wrong?

    I checked your account and it appears several messages were sent successfully and your mail server responded with: “status=sent (250 2.0.0 OK)” so it looks like email should be able to reach you.

    Could you try a few things for me?

    First, double check your spam/junk folder to see if you can find any message with subject “diegowbaer aktivieren”

    If you cannot find that message, can you:

    1. Log out of WordPress.com
    2. Go to https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
    3. Add your email address under “Trouble Activating?” and click the “Resend Activation Email” button
    4. Wait a bit and check to see if an email arrives after that

    If that still doesn’t work, can you reply here and confirm your email address for me?

    hi, thanks for your fast answer.
    maybe I explained the problem wrongly. i recieved the mail (i even ordered it several times because nothing happened). and i can click on the activation link. then i’ll land on the page where wordpress says thank you for your verification and i shall activate aksimet. but in fact my account isnt verified and whatever i do, they tell me everywhere to activate my account via email.
    i did this about 15 times within 24 hrs, i even finished the verification via sms code but nothing changed and my account is still not verified.

    Du kannst dein Konto auch aktivieren, indem du diese Adresse kopierst und in die Adressleiste einfügst:
    [link removed] .
    Bitte speichere diese E-Mail. Falls dein Benutzerkonto in Zukunft gesperrt wird, können wir mit dieser E-Mail den Zugriff dein Benutzerkonto wiederherstellen.

    I checked the link you provided (and I also removed it so it is not posted publicly), and it looks like the correct activation link for your account.

    I haven’t heard of this problem before. Would you mind trying one more troubleshooting step which is to clear your browser cache and cookies and then try clicking on the activation link again?

    If it still doesn’t work, can you tell me exactly what the message on the next screen is and also verify your browser version for me?

    ok i deleted history, cache and cookies and restartet chrome.
    then i hit the activation link
    i recieved an sms containing the code,
    i entered the code and logged in with my emailadress and password
    then i landed on the page where wordpress is thankful for my verification and hints me to install the aksimet plugin
    i clicked on a link to my account settings to see if something had changed

    i read this:

    Bitte bestätige deine E-Mail-Adresse
    Um zu veröffentlichen und WordPress.com weiter zu verwenden, musst du deine E-Mail-Adresse bestätigen. Bitte klicke auf den Link in der E-Mail, die wir dir an (email visible only to moderators and staff) zugesendet haben.
    Sende deine Aktivierungs-E-Mail erneut oder ändere die E-Mail-Adresse in deinem Konto.

    which literally means:
    please confirm your emailadress by clicking on the link in the mail we sent to you.

    no result again.

    Sorry for the trouble! This one doesn’t look like some of the other similar problems I’ve seen reported for account activation. I’m going to ask for help and I will post back here as soon as I have more information.

    just in case i’ll report what i’m doing:

    i hit the acitvation link in the mail
    ->https://signup.wordpress.com/activate/806f983d1f42b29e
    i hit the link to my account settings
    (Account Settings
    You can update your email address, password, and more in your WordPress.com settings.)

    and finally there is no reminder.
