Activation email not getting delivered
-
Hi,
I created an account and the verification email has not been getting delivered to my gmail mailbox. It’s not there in Spam or any other category based folders. I don’t have any filters specific to wordpress.
My email have a <dot> in it, not sure whether that might be a reason. But surprisingly even to change the email it sends a verification email to the previously registered email address. I’m currently in a limbo state where I can’t activate my account.
Any suggestions or guidance would help.
Thanks

The dot shouldn’t be a problem.
I checked records and I found that a message with subject “Activate pprakash431” was sent on Nov 6 05:53:15 UTC and your email server returned: status=sent (250 OK). That means we sent the email and your server did accept it, so you may have missed it in your spam filter.
I have resent you an activation link manually in addition. Hopefully you will receive that one.

Sadly I didn’t receive neither of the email. I also checked the spam filter.
I resent the email again now and that too haven’t got delivered. I’m not sure how to get this fixed.
Thanks

@pprakash431, I doubled checked your signup record and it looks like you spelled gmail.com without an “l” (on your account, it says gmai.com). I am not sure why our server shows a success message was sent in that case—that seems fishy.
I deleted your signup record which should let you start again from scratch. Can you try signing up with the same username again now? https://wordpress.com/start
