Activation email not received

    Hello, I am also not receiving my activation email, I have checked all my folders, it has not arrived.

    @traedurtschi, your account should be fixed now. Sorry for the trouble!

    @lisbethanne, records show your account setup is normal and that you should have received a message with subject “Activate lisbethanne” on Nov 6 03:57:52 UTC and that your mail sever returned: status=sent (250 2.5.0 Ok.) I resent your activation link manually, but in your case you should have had an activation email already. If you wouldn’t mind whitelisting @wordpress.com in your email client and maybe also asking your email provider to do the same, that may help others if those types of messages are getting marked as spam when they shouldn’t be.

    @teamleader101, your account appears to be normal as well, but your mail server seems to have returned this error: 554 5.2.0 eDel1r00z57HTk001Denk5 Spam content found. I have manually sent you a separate message with the activation link and hopefully that one will get through to you. If it does not (or even if it does), would you be willing to contact your email provider and ask them to whitelist messages from @wordpress.com like this one so that they aren’t blocked for you or anyone else using your mail provider in the future?

    Thank you very much, my account is activated now! :-)

    There were no word press messages in my junk folder, and I only had one message awaiting me with the “activate” message in the title… so I’m not sure what the issue was…

    Hi. Same issue. Signed up september 2014. Original activation email is invalid Requested new several times. Havent rcvd.

    @macbethm, I reviewed your account and it looks activated from what I can see. Your account was created a while ago and I checked it for the same problem a few other people in this thread are running into, and your account doesn’t have the same issue. In their case, they are seeing a persistent message at the top of https://wordpress.com/ pages that says they must activate their account and your account doesn’t have that when I check it. It looks to me like you may be trying to change the email address on your account, is that correct? I checked logs and I found that a message was sent to the email address shown on the https://wordpress.com/me/account page for your account at Nov 8 15:37:48 UTC with subject line “Email Address Update Requested” and the mail server responded with “status=sent (250 2.0.0 OK)” which means it should have gone through. Please double check your inbox and filtered folders (if you have any) and spam/junk folders.

    @forthetime1, in the record for your original signup, it looks like there was a typo in your email address which ends in “.con” with an “n” at the end instead of an “m”

    Out of curiosity, did you change your email address after signing up?

    To fix the problem, can you please try the following steps and let me know whether or not a new email arrives in your inbox after that:

    1. Log out of WordPress.com completely
    2. Go to http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
    3. Add your email address to the forum under the “Trouble Activating?” section
    4. Click the “Resend Activation Email” button

    We were unable to fetch your activation record. Are you sure you specified the email address you signed up with?

    After not being able to activate my account from the first e-mail sent to me, I clicked on “Re-send your activation email” but have not received anything! I’m just trying to get started — help!

    I am trying to setup a wp.org site for my client and she has not received any activation emails from wp.com, though I have signed her up and re-sent the email to the correct address many times. She has been checking the spam folder as well. Can I just use my account to set up jetpack etc and change it to hers whenever we get this problem figured out? I’m not super clear on the role of wp.com in wp.org sites.

    @laureltuckermancapitalcom, records show email was sent successfully from our mail servers to the email address you see at https://wordpress.com/me/account If you cannot find the email with subject “Activate laureltuckermancapitalcom” in your inbox or spam/junk folders, please contact your email administrator and ask them to please help you find out if any email filters stopped the message. The latest message timestamp is Nov 12 21:21:14 UTC.

    @urbanobserversf, it’s better to setup with her account if possible. What the username for the account they are having trouble activating?

    Same problem for me. Tried the link https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ which then tells me “We were unable to fetch your activation record. Are you sure you specified the email address you signed up with?”

    I’m signed in to the account, but can’t post. No activation email is showing up (in spam or otherwise). Mail server is gmail.

    @edieandotto and @ssdowd, I will look into this for you. While I work on that, can you please tell me what you can remember about your original sign up? Did you sign up from a mobile app or from the WordPress.com website on your mobile device originally by chance? Do you remember if you completed an email activation step when you first signed up?

    @urbanobserversf, thank you, I have sent a message to the email on file for brewerstudioarchitects. Can you ask them to check that and reply or let me know here if they say they did not receive that message either?
