Activation email not sending

I am trying to set up my account currently, but every time I click to send or resend the email activation, it doesn’t arrive. How can I get the email and activate my account?

Is your email address correct at https://wordpress.com/me/account ?
If so, please also check your spam folder.

Yes, I checked my email and I re-typed it in to make sure it was right. I’ve looked in my inbox, my bin, my spam folder and typed in to search for it across all mailboxes, but it isn’t there for some reason. When trying to google about the error I found other people had had an issue when trying to change their email (though this wasn’t trying to put it in for the first time). Sorry this seems such a mystery, I can’t figure out why I can’t find it!

It’s possible that your email provider BTinternet may be blocking the emails from us before they get to you.
Reach out to them and inquire if they’re blocking emails coming from
@wordpress.com– specifically(email visible only to moderators and staff). You’ll want to receive any emails from us as that’s how we primarily communicate with our users.I sent an email to the email address on file for your account with the subject line
