Activation Issue

  Hi there,

  I am trying to build a FREE website using wordpress and I keep receiving a pop up at the top of the page saying I need to activate the email that WordPress has sent me. The problem is, there is no email from WordPress to activate.

  I have tried to add pages to my tabs and it keeps saying the until I’ve activated my email address it will not publish anything.

  This is kind of really annoying as I just want to activate my email and build a site – it shouldn’t be that hard.

  Hi,
  Have you looked for the activation email in your spam filter? If you use Gmail or Google Apps, please have a look at this support page for assistance: https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/gmail-issues/

  Did you use the correct email? You can check it at account settings. If the email is incorrect, update it and click the Save Account Settings button. There’ll be a message saying that there’s a pending change. Check your inbox for the confirmation email and click the link within to verify your email address.

  If none of that works, add “modlook” to the tags for this thread to let WordPress.com staff know that you need assistance with this issue.
