Active Spammer signed up as follower; should I be worried?
-
An active spammer/bot website has signed up to my site as a follower several times. I’ve posted a warning to other bloggers on my site about it and I’ve added the @pbal.co.pl part of the followers names to be blocked.
Do I need to do anything else? This is the post I wrote?

Am I safe?

I read paladinjustice’s blog post, where they state that they blocked them. Is this possible? I’d like to block them, too.

I had three more “followers” from @pjbals.co.pl sign up today. I’m still not sure what this bot is up to but the they are apparently very active across the Internet. As far as I know they are not hackers. At least I can’t find any info stating they are Polish hackers, if they really are located in Poland.
To block go into administration, then settings, then discussion. There are a couple of boxes in the discussion settings you can use to block them. Just copy @pjbals.co.pl into one of the boxes. I think I recall that the first box puts any comments with that in it into moderation, while the second box puts it into the trash automatically. I assume they plan to send spam comments to my site, but I’m worried they may be hackers.

Ah, I just noticed that WordPress staff says to ignore it. Good enough for me. Thank you Chrisrudzki for your reply.
