The software will make them lower case and the email address will still connect to the correct account.

That’s the problem theirs another wordpress user with the lower case version of my email account.
-
And by meaning of my email account only the first letters of the words are capital not the whole address.

Hey there,
That’s the problem theirs another wordpress user with the lower case version of my email account.
I checked our records and there is not a user with that email address.
I can e-mail that lowercase version of the e-mail to make sure that you receive it. If so, I’d update your email under your account with the lowercase with the assurance that you are getting emails just fine.
Let me know, thanks!

The problem was that I was putting www.(email address).com, instead of just entering (email address).com.

Aha! That will queer it for sure.
All www URLs seamlessly redirect to the same content under the URL without the redundant “www” which has not been required for over a decade. www is an old protocol from way back when the web was new and everything was under separate server hardware. www (www.example.com) was the web server, mail (mail.example.com) was the mail server, ftp (ftp.example.com) was the FTP server, print (print.example.com) was the print server, etc. These days, everything is run under the web server, making www. redundant and a waste of four characters.
