Ad placement
-
Hello,
My request is quite common; the advertisement banner is automatically located right the first panel of my Pique-based website, stretching it and altering its look.
I was wondering if one of the staff members could make it so that the ad appears somewhere else, on another panel or even make it 2 ads – I don’t mind – just in a spot that will not change heights and widths so much.
Thank you very much

Hi alexmts,
the advertisement banner is automatically located right the first panel of my Pique-based website, stretching it and altering its look.
I’ve visited wgygia.wordpress.com and while I can see an ad on the homepage, I can’t see any stretching happening. If you are seeing a stretched ad, it would be great if you could make a screenshot and upload it to your Media Library.
Or are you referring to the ad increasing the height of the panel?

Hi Gemma,
Yes indeed. If there was a way to reposition the ad to another panel but not the first one, that would be ideal. It’s not just about how it looks but I think it may reduce user experience/usability in some screen resolutions.
Thank you!
Alex

Hi Alex,
We cannot control on a per-site basis where ads display, and the ad placement in this case, at the bottom of the first page’s content on the front page, is normal.
If you normally use a featured image as background for that panel, I’d recommend using a taller image so the added height from the ad doesn’t affect its display.
You can remove ads from your site completely by upgrading to any of our paid plans.
