  Hello. I have paid for a year-long WordPress.com hosting package through Domain.com. It was my understanding that the ads would go away on my sierraveale.com website but they have not. When I asked them about it, they said I must contact WordPress directly to have the ads removed. Please advise.

  As long as https://sierraveale.wordpress.com/ remains a free site here at WordPress.com the ads will remain. Currently you appear to be displaying that free site on your Domain .com site. The ads would only go away if you purchased a Personal plan or higher here at WordPress.com and correctly connected your domain to that site.

  I purchased a plan through domain.com. The rep there has asked me to have a rep from WordPress to contact them and let them know if “pointing A records is sufficient or not”. That is a direct quote…

  How things are set up may well work but you can’t expect no ds as long as you don’t pay WordPress.com anything. Here the ads help to ensure free sites can be free.
