ADA Approved

I’m working with a school to update their website. We’ve decided the theme for the website should be ‘Ixion.’ However, they want to be sure that the theme follows ADA approved protocol. Does the theme ‘Ixion’ follow ADA best practices?

Hi @nishealwatson –
Please take a look at this Support page for information about accessible themes.
The Support page links to a list of Accessibility Ready Themes; I took a look at this list and do not see the ‘Ixion’ theme.
There is also a section with resources on how to test whether specific themes are compliant with various accessibility guidelines.
Let me know if that helps!

Hi there, here is a list of the themes which are tagged “accessibility ready” which is defined as “adheres to accessibility best practices, like color contrast, keyboard navigation and form/link focus.”
https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/accessibility-ready
Ixion doesn’t look to be on that list, but the Textbook theme was designed specifically for this use case. See here: https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2017/02/02/textbook-dara/
Let us know if you have any other question.
