Adaption theme – Pics can’t fit perfectly in the image box
-
Hello, I’m just trying a new theme called “adaption” for my futur blog http://frenchconnectionmusic.com/
In the demo of “adaption” you can see that images fit perfectly in the image box
http://adaptiondemo.wordpress.com/
and the “Posted on June 26, 2014 Books” is below the pics… Which is exactly what I want…
But it’s impossible to do on my blog even if I try to costumed pics with the dashboard and checking “image details”. And the “Posted on June 26, 2014 Books” is always above the pics…
Somebody told me about a plugin called “regenerate thumbnails” but it looks like I can’t reach it with wordpress.com but only with wordpress.org …
Any idea how to solve this?
Thanks a lot !

I think this is a featured image size issue. Have you consulted the theme description page? https://wordpress.com/themes/adaption/
re: the live demo site image

Thanks a lot for your answer, here is If I try to post an image of 1280px x 960 px : http://frenchconnectionmusic.com/ that’s mean it’s not a featured image size issue…
But there is still white lines inside of a perfectly fit like in the demo : http://adaptiondemo.wordpress.com/
I didn’t find any information about that problem o the live demo site image but I find tips on the blog of the creator of the them : http://adaptiondemo.wordpress.com/
But his solution requires wordpress.org instead of worpress.com … I wanted to know if there was an other way to solve it… CSS or something else ?
Thanks again !

Thanks a lot for your answer, you can see here what’s happened when I try to post an image of 1280px x 960 px : http://frenchconnectionmusic.com/ I suppose that mean it’s not a featured image size issue…

Unfortunately his solution requires wordpress.org instead of worpress.com … I wanted to know if there was an other way to solve it… CSS or something else ?

<div class=”entry-thumbnail”><img class=”attachment-featured-image wp-post-image alignnone” style=”margin-top: -107px;” src=”https://thefrenchconnectiondotcom.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/tumblr_n6rzlh5e4k1st5lhmo1_1280.jpg” alt=”Processed with VSCOcam with lv02 preset” width=”1280″ height=”960″ /></div>
<!– .entry-thumbnail –>I try it, don’t know exactly why, but it’s better. Not exactly like the demo, not exactly what I need but… Any Idea in order to destroy those horrible white lines, margins, or whatever ?
Thanks a lot :)

We solved this over here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/remove-the-margins-in-the-main-container?replies=8#post-1987463
I’m pretty sure we don’t need staff assistance anymore.
