What is adcash dot com and how is it that they place ads on our ad-free premium wordpress site?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are no text link ads and there are no pop-up ads placed by WordPress.com. Then can however appear to you as the result of a browser add-on or toolbar or downloading anything that has adware embedded into it.
All WordPress.com placed ads are easy to identify as this link accompanies them http://en.wordpress.com/about-these-ads/
Any other ads you see are not placed on the blog by WordPress.com. They are coming from a browser extension or toolbar. These sites have further explanation and suggestions for eliminating the ads: http://www.littletechiethings.com/2012/06/how-to-remove-ads-not-by-this-site.html http://blog.wikimedia.org/2012/05/14/ads-on-wikipedia-your-computer-infected-malware/ http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/09/14/bloggers-beware-of-adware/
If you use the information at the sites I linked to and still see ads please post screenshot http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/ Upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it. Then type modlook into the sidebar.

Thanks for your response. The reason we inquired about this is because the link registered as a click on our stats. Since this is the case, we can only assume that WordPress somehow counts such clicks, even if they are the result of independent browser settings.
The problem arises when users who may be unfamiliar with the concept of minding their browser settings to eliminate ads, and when a popup annoys them, they assume it is associated with the site they are visiting, like our blog site. The fact that WordPress counts a popup like this on the stats only reinforces the idea.
We understand that WordPress can’t be responsible for miscellaneous dirty tricks like errant popup ads, but why are you counting the clicks?

I have seen that a few times also on my site, I did a very thorough search for the offending link and could not find it, staff claim there is a way for an infected browser to phish a Click Link. I am still scratching my head over that but do not have the skills to prove it one way or the other

You are referring to this https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/unknown-link-on-my-blog-which-i-did-not-place-there?replies=10

Yes that is one of them, there have been a few others but that is the most comprehensive on what the link is and how to search for links in general
Thanks @TT

It looks like staff-blorbo did a pretty thorough job of explaining this issue in the thread linked by timethief, so I’m going to defer to that thread. If you have more questions about this, please post in that thread so he can assist you further.
