Add a CNAME record to reset password with google

  I’m trying to follow the directions here to add a CNAME record to reset my password – https://support.google.com/a/answer/47283 but the edit DNS records page doesn’t have the same categories that google requires. Any idea? I’m not a programmer – I just want to get my blog going with my custom email address. I didn’t even realize I had set a password in the first place! TIA.
