'Add a comment' button suddenly appearing in syndicated content

    We use feeds to syndicate our wordpress.com blogs to a custom WordPress site, using FeedWordPress on the ‘incoming’ site. This worked great for a few months. However, suddenly each syndicated post appears with an ‘Add a comment’ button. This just started within the past couple of weeks.

    I’ve checked all of our settings, and nothing has changed. We have ‘allow comments’ unchecked on each post. We have ‘Allow people to post comments on new articles’ turned off on the wordpress.com blogs and the custom WordPress site being imported into.

    We can’t even make these buttons disappear using CSS, because there’s no ID or div associated with them.

    How do we turn this off? We don’t want to lead people away from the custom site back to the wordpress.com site, particularly since we’re not allowing comments anyway.
