Add a drop down list to a page
-
Hi
I want to add a drop down list similar to one you would have in excel to a page.
The list would be populated by a list of badges my Cub Scouts could earnSo you would end up with something like this
First – Last – Air – Camping – Backwoods – Rowing
Rory – Murphy – Stage 1 – Stage 3 – Stage 1 – Stage 2The stages would be in the drop down list
Hope this makes sense
Thanks

You can create a custom menu and add items including Pages and sub-pages to it to create dropdowns.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#changing-the-order-creating-sub-menusSetting up a menu is easy as pie, provided you know the differences between Posts and Pages, and the differences between static Pages, (which will never automatically update) and dynamic Categories pages which will automatically update when you publish Posts with Categories assigned to them.

There are many common errors, misunderstandings and misconceptions when creating custom menus and there are some tweaks you can use to improve your custom menu as well.

The drop down isn’t for navigation.
It would be the same as a cell in excel.
You click on the cell and are given a list of options which you then select. So for example our Rowing Skills badge has 9 stages
I want to create a drop down list that when you click on it gives you
Stage 1
Stage 2
Stage 3
Stage 4
Stage 5
Stage 6
Stage 7
Stage 8
Stage 9From there you select one and it appears beside the name
Thanks
