add a editor from a wordpress user ID?

    I have a member of my blog which i want to give editor rights too, but no matter how hard he tries he can not find a way to accept the invite to the blog giving him those editor privileges… he has been able to create a wordpress user ID.

    Can i take the user ID of that person and be able to link it to my site giving him editor privileges without him accepting the email invitation on his side?

    Here is what the relevant support doc states:

    They will need to click the “Accept Invitation” button in the invitation email. If they are logged into their WordPress.com account, they will be taken directly to your blog. If not, they will be taken to the log-in screen, where they can either log in or create a new user account.

    Note that users who create a new WordPress.com account at that point will still need to return to the invitation email and click the “Accept Invitation” button after doing so.

    If they are not successful post again and provide all the details including the usernames and email addresses. The software will redact ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them. After you do that type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff attention, and subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond.
