Add a footnotes plugin

  It seems like a pretty useful feature for blogging and I was surprised it wasn’t included by default. Could we please add a footnotes plugin? I’m sure any of these would be helpful, so would be glad to let the devs decide which works best for wordpress.com:

  Yes. Agreed. PLEASE add a footnotes plugin.

  If I would have realized I didn’t have the ability to use footnotes with WordPress.com hosting before I purchased it, I would have opted to host on my own. Other than this, though, I’ve found the wordpress hosting to be very easy and convenient.

  Totally agreed. I love WordPress, but I’m thinking of bailing for a footnote option. Thanks!
