add a latest posts feed to static home page?

  Hi, I would like to include a section on my home page that scrolls – preferably horizontally – my latest post summaries. My home page is static and I have a separate page for my actual posts. Is this possible? I am very much a beginner!

  Wait! Actually, some themes have a Showcase template that does what you want. I don’t know if it’s a static page; themes are not really my thing. But you might want to look through the themes for ones with the Showcase format.

  Oh I have seen that on my theme! No idea what it did! Will experiment with it thanks… :-)
