add a link button to header bar

i have a new diy forum and i would like to add a forum page button to the header bar , when its clicked it goes straight to the forum and not to the page , how do i manage this :)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do your mean a link to this forum> If so then did you know that there’s a link at the bottom of your admin page to this forum?
Look here at the very bottom on the page and note that all of these are links >

Aha so it’s your own forum. :) Does your theme support custom menus? If so then you can follow the instructions here for adding a custom link. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links
If it doesn’t the you can use this http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/26/page-tabs-as-external-links/ -
Does your theme support custom menus? , i have not got a clue :) so i will try the above

Your theme supports 1 menu. Select which menu you would like to use.
Primary Navigationi changed it to custom menu and all pages disappered so will i make it Primary Navigation
got the pages back

How about you add the link to your Forum as a Text Widget in the Sidebar above your Blog Visitors and below the Search Box??
It will stand out more than if your Forum is hidden in the top Nav Bar

i put the url in
navagation label set as site title
title attribute set at d.i.y.but i think the above post was my mistake
