Add a link to a post

  I’m very new at blogging, so please be patient if this is a silly question ;-)

  I want to write a post and add a link to another webpage. The idea is that the reader can then read the full story on another site. How do I do this?

  Thank you for the reply. I have looked at this FAQ but it did not help, as I don’t have the
  chain link button. Is this only available to paid sites?

  I don’t have any of the “formatting” buttons as shown in the FAQ, when writing a post.

  When you look at your editor, what do you see? Are the tabs along the top written html code or the icons like in the FAQ? (In other words, which editor are you using?)

  Thank you so much. The tick-box was unticked under user profile, which thus disabled the formatting toolbar. I have now corrected this and the “chain-link” button is there.
