Add a new link is not properly being highlighted
-
You know when you add a link and the color of the link is the color it should be, when it’s never been clicked? But, sometimes when I add a new link, the color of the link is the color it is when it’s been clicked, but it’s a new link! I hope this makes sense…does anyone have any solutions? Thank you so much!

Hi. Could you please provide us the URL of your blog, and the URL of a post/page that is showing that behaviour?

Now the links on this page are not orange, and I don’t understand why they are not orange.Thank you for your help!!!

Some themes have “visited” colors set for links, and if you have ever visited that link, then it changes colors and will stay the “visited” color until you clear your browser cache/history. Then it will go back to the standard color till you have again visited that link.

Opps…I changed the theme after I posted the links..wow, I can’t believe I would have to clear my cache/history in order to post a new link. Thanks for your help!

I am having a similar problem. I am using Freshy for my rowing blog http://notover2k.wordpress.com but when I add a link to an external website, it doesnt show up in blue or any color. It looks like it puts some very tiny dots under the link but that is it.
The rest of the world has blue links that change to a reddish pinkish color after visitng the site. Is it my theme?

@otover2k
Each theme is coded differently. That’s the way the template is coded to display links in your theme ie: black lettering with underlining and when hovered over the underline becomes a dotted red line. In other words the links are displaying properly in your theme.
