    Which one would you recommend?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

I’ve never actually started one, but one of the most popular ones I’ve seen is this one:

    https://www.change.org/

Take a look at that and see if it will work for you. Then you can link to it from your blog.

Let me know if you have any questions with this!

As an activist I want to put something up on my web site that will do petitions, so I can ask for people to petition the relevant authority regarding this or that subject.
I found a plugin that looked pretty simple, “YAWPP”, downloaded it and tried to FTP it to the wp-contents/plugins folder, but after fighting it from 7:00am to 8:00Pm I was informed that my redirect is preventing me from uploading this file.

Is there a way to rename the site to http://www.ccc-wis.com so that all my previous advertising of the link will still work, and I can use FileZila to ftp plugins?, or must the site remain in the wordpress domain…(I host it)

My website is http://www.ccc-wis.com password is [REDACTED]

Server: 02D8661.NETSOLHOST.COM They also gave me 205.178.152.58FTP User DetailsFTP User [REDACTED] FTP Password [REDACTED]

    Host is 02D8661.NETSOLHOST.COM
    User name is [REDACTED]
    Password is [REDACTED]

    I hope you can help,

    Hank

    Hi there Hank,

First let me suggest that it is very important that you never send or post your username/password via email or on a forum. I have redacted the information, but I strongly recommend that you log in to your account with your host (Network Solutions?) and change your password as soon as possible.

In regards to your question, we don’t provide FTP access to your WordPress.com account. The FTP credentials which you have will get you access to your account with your hosting provider for ccc-wis.com, but as you know that domain forwards immediately on to wisair.wordpress.com.

For security reasons we don’t allow plugins such as the one you are looking at for YAWPP on WordPress.com. Plugins CAN be used on WordPress.org sites, which can be put on to a hosting account like you have with Network Solutions, so if this plugin is that important to you, it may be worth it to you to consider migrating your account to a self-hosted solution.

Just to be clear, there is a small but important difference between WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress.org sites. We have a help center article which explains those differences right here:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

If you have any questions or would like some additional information about migrating your site please don’t hesitate to ask!
