add a photo to the main page?

how do I add a photo to the main page, above my “about me” comment?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you mean your About page? I see a photo there, between the About Me heading and above the text.
What do you mean by “main page”? Do you mean the page your users come to when the come to ronherron.wordpress.com? You can set this by going to Settings – Reading. You’re currently using the default, which is to show your latest posts. I think that the default makes sense for the vast majority of blogs.
I don’t currently see any link to your About page. I’d fix that. The way I’d fix it is to switch themes: the one you’re using (probably by default) doesn’t enhance your photos with its big-blue-blobness! -
If you mean the top of your sidebar, then
1. Media > Add New: upload the image from your computer, and copy the URL that will show up.
2. Appearance > Widgets: drag an Image widget to the “Sidebar” area, top position, paste the image URL etc., save. Or use a text widget instead – see here: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/04/01/codes-useful-for-text-widgets/ -
Just-Media > Add New: upload the image from your computer, and copy the URL that will show up.
