Add a picture and writing to 2nd sidebar
-
I believe my Yoko theme allows for two side bars. I want to download a picture from my library to it and write several paragraphs under the picture. I tried “add widgets” and add image, but it wants the location of another website where my picture is. I’ve tried three times, so there are three forms now for adding an image, all blank because my picture is in my image library, not another website.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Put the picture and text in a Text widget and put that widget in your sidebar. The sidebars are not meant for blog posts and other content. They are for widgets.

There is no “add media” button, so I tried pasting the picture in, but it wouldn’t take.

Well, no. Text widgets only accept HTML code. The picture has to be uploaded already to your media library.
I generally compose text widgets like a draft post, using the Write Post box. I put everything in the way I want, keeping in mind the widget is quite narrow. Then, once it’s looking right, I click to the Text editor, copy all the text, and paste that in the text widget.

Okay, I followed your directions, and got my blurb in one of my sidebars, and it looks good. But when I added a picture to the “add Post” where I created the blurb in HTML for copy/paste, the picture didn’t go to the sidebar. The picture came from my library of images.
How is it I seem to see pictures in all three columns when I scan through the themes?
