Hi , I would think it is very necessary to have the pinterest Plugin in wordpress. May I know how this could be added? As it doesn’t allow me to add in from my plan

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Howdy!

Plugins are a feature of self hosted WordPress sites.

Here at WordPress.com you’re able to integrate with Pinterest a few different ways. One is through a simple embed into your posts or pages.

Another option is to add a Pinterest <a href=”https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-social-media-buttons-to-your-sidebar-or-
    footer/”>sharing button.

Lastly, you could create your own text or image widget linking to your boards.

Be sure to let me know if you need help with any of these, and happy blogging :)

Hi Thanks so much! I’m a bit stupid, when you mean the option add a Pinterest Sharing button,

Is it suppose to place in the bottom HTML of each of my post in wordpress?

  • A sharing button is one that you can add to the bottom of each post or page. You’ll do this form the post/page editor. This way, when a visitor reads your post they can easily click the button to share it to that particular platform.

The social media buttons can be added as a text widget in to your theme’s designated widget areas. When a visitor clicks on these, they’d be taken to your profile for that particular platform.

I’m happy to answer any follow up questions.
