Add a preinstalled plugin for customizing the search widget

Currently there are very few settings that can be changed on the default search widget. I can’t tell it to look through the media library metadata or even the attachment pages; I can’t tell it to display thumbnails; I can’t even tell it to sort by relevance instead of chronological order.

There are a great many plugins that offer these features, but we shouldn’t have to host our own sites simply to get useful search options. The base functionality of a site hosted by WordPress (at least any of the paid hosting options) should include some search customization plugins.

I found some possible choices among the popular search plugins:

Relevanssi: 70,000 installs, rated 4.7 stars
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/relevanssi/

Search Everything: 80,000 installs, rated 4.2 stars
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/search-everything/

Google Custom Search: 10,000 installs, rated 4.5 stars
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-custom-search/

I think each of those have the necessary functionality to do what I’m asking for (unfortunately the descriptions are just vague enough that I can’t be sure). If not a plugin should be found that does; this is really not a complicated feature to ask for.
