Add a ‘Sell-by’ date for posts

In maintaining the website for my village, there are various posts which relate to forthcoming events. It would be a useful feature if posts could be given a ‘sell-by’ date on such posts so that they automatically become ‘unpublished’ from the website when their ‘sell-by’ date expires.

The posts could be marked as ‘draft’ or as a new state ‘expired’, where they are no longer visible on the website.

This would help keep the website looking up-to-date, and maintained without direct user involvement.

    Regards

    Donald

You have not linked your username to your blog. If your question does pertain to a worpress.COM blog please link the two using the instructions here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/7-things-to-know-before-posting-in-wordpresscom-forums?replies=1
or post the entire url for your wordpress.COM blog strating with http:// every time you post to this support forum.

I am assuming this is the blog you are referring to http://smpc.wordpress.com/ and if that is the case there is no means of doing what you have asked on a wordpress.COM blog
